Setting required/optional fields on the HSE event form

This article relates to HSE events that are entered directly in Acuite.

Both the standard health and safety form and the "light" health and safety form can be customised so that fields are required or optional.   If a field is set as "required", this means that the health and safety form can't be closed out until that field has been filled in.  

To customise the form:

  1. Open the System Settings menu

  2. Select Health Safety Form Settings

  3. Click on Manage Required Fields by Category menu.

  4. Select the Event Category from the dropdown list

  5. Click on show settings for: "Regular Form" 

  • This will give you the options to set the required/optional fields for the standard health and safety form.   Click on Quick Form (Light Users) if you want to customise the visible fields for the light health and safety form.  See this article for further instructions.

6. Go through each of the fields in the form and select whether you want them to be required or optional.  

7. Click Save

Those fields that are "required" will need to be filled in before the HSE form can be closed out.
