Acuite has already built a number of integrations with 3rd party systems which are available to all Acuite customers. These integrations can, in general, be activated by Acuite users without any intervention by Acuite support staff, however each integration may have specific requirements that must be met before being used.

ACONEX FIELD:

Requirements:

  • You must have an active Aconex Field account

  • Note that this is separate from having access to Aconex Core

  • You must have an API key

  • Note that this is separate from the API key you may have for Aconex Core – you need an additional key for Aconex Field

  • Aconex does not provide API access by default, it must be requested

  • API keys are valid for the entire Aconex Field account or company, you do not need separate keys for each user

  • API keys can be requested by contacting your Aconex representative – please make sure to specify that you want a key for Aconex Field (as opposed to the core Aconex application)

Additional Notes:

  • The functionality of the integration is limited by the permissions of the user that is used to connect

  • We are also limited by which Projects are accessible – this too is restricted by user permissions

  •  For best results, we recommend that the user who enables the integration has appropriate permissions and project access within Aconex

  • This integration assumes that you also have the core Aconex integration active. If this is not the case, some functionality may be limited. For example, Aconex Field does not provide access to contacts – that is only available via Aconex Core

  • For Acuite to import checklists (and templates) from Aconex Field, the user account used for the API must be invited to the project in Aconex Field.  This must be done for each project that is to be sync'ed with Acuite.

  • The user account must be given "Inspector Administrator" permissions.    This can be done in Aconex someone with Aconex administrator rights for that project.   The permissions for Aconex Field are set for each project.  In Aconex, you will need to select the project name.  Go into the "Field" column and click Project Settings.

  • Ensure that the Aconex account used for the API has been set up with Inspector Administrator credentials.

Setup Process:

  • The integration needs to be enabled in Acuite under System Settings -> Integrations

  •  Once enabled, click ‘Configure’ to open the configuration settings for the integration

  • The following settings need to be entered:

  • Aconex Region – choose your region from the dropdown

  • API Key – as provided by Aconex

  • API User – your Aconex account username

  • API Password – your Aconex account password

  • Click ‘Test Connection’ to ensure that the details are correct and that we can connect to Aconex on your behalf

  • Click ‘Save’

  • At this point you have established a connection with Aconex and can configure individual projects or integration options

Configuring the integration at a project level:

  • Once the integration has been set up at a licence level, it will need to be configured for each project.

  • Go to the Project Settings, Integrations menu

  • Next to Aconex Field, click the Enable button.

  • Click Configure

  • The licence level details should be copied into the Authentication page (API region, API key, API user and API password).  Leave these as is, unless you are using different different credentials for Aconex at a project level.)

  • Go to the Sync Options page.

  • Click Load Projects and select the project name from the dropdown list.  If the project isn't in the list, it has not been set up in Aconex Field correctly.

  • Click on the details that you want to sync from Aconex Field:  Defects &/or Audits (HSE & Quality).

  • Click Save and the data will be synced with Acuite.

Data pulled into Acuite:

  • Defects

  • Audits (HSE and Quality)

Data pushed to Aconex Field:
