Acuite has already built a number of integrations with 3rd party systems which are available to all Acuite customers. These integrations can, in general, be activated by Acuite users without any intervention by Acuite support staff, however each integration may have specific requirements that must be met before being used.

ACONEX

Requirements:

  • You must have an active Aconex account

  • You must have an API key

  • Aconex does not provide API access by default, it must be requested

  • API keys are valid for the entire Aconex account or company, you do not need separate keys for each user

  • API keys can be requested by contacting your Aconex representative

Additional Notes:

  • The functionality of the integration is limited by the permissions of the user that is used to connect

  • We are also limited by which Projects are accessible – this too is restricted by user permissions

  • For best results, we recommend that the user who enables the integration has appropriate permissions and project access within Aconex

Setup Notes:

  • The integration needs to be enabled in Acuite under System Settings -> Integrations

  • Once enabled, click ‘Configure’ to open the configuration settings for the integration

  • The following settings need to be entered:

  • Aconex Region – choose your region from the dropdown

  • API Key – as provided by Aconex

  • API User – your Aconex account username

  • API Password – your Aconex account password

  • Click ‘Test Connection’ to ensure that the details are correct and that we can connect to Aconex on your behalf

  • Click ‘Save’

  • At this point you have established a connection with Aconex and can configure individual projects or integration options

Configuring the integration at a project level:

  • Once the integration has been set up at a licence level, it will need to be configured for each project.

  • Go to the Project Settings, Integrations menu

  • Next to Aconex, click the Enable button.

  • Click Configure

  • The licence level details should be copied into the Authentication page (API region, API key, API user and API password).  Leave these as is, unless you are using different different credentials for Aconex at a project level.)

  • Go to the Sync Options page.

  • Click Load Projects and select the project name from the dropdown list.  If the project isn't in the list, it has not been set up in Aconex correctly.

  • Click on the details that you want to sync from Aconex:

  • Project Details  - this will sync the project name, address, and some project date to Acuite)

  • Contacts - this will sync any internal project contacts (from your company) and external contacts to Acuite

  • RFI's - this will sync documents set up as mail type RFI in Aconex to Acuite.

Data pulled into Acuite:

  • Projects

  • Contacts

  • RFIs

Data pushed into Aconex:
Not currently supported
