Download the Acuite app:

The Acuite super-user in your company will work with the team at Acuite to set you up with access to the Acuite app, which will include downloading the app from the Google Play or the Apple App Store.

  1. Once you have been set up with access to the Acuite app, and and the app has been installed on your device,  open the app by clicking on the Acuite "A" icon on your device.

2. Enter your email address and password to log in.

3. Once you are logged in tap the icon of the form you want to complete.  Your screen may look different to this, depending on what forms or checklists have been set up.

4. Fill in the project name and other details to complete the checklist.

TIPS AND TRICKS TO COMPLETING FORMS:

a. Auto fill fields (Projects, Precast unit numbers, People)

You will notice that some fields on the form will ask you to select from a pre-populated list. All you need to do here is start typing the name of the project, person etc and a list will appear for you to choose from.

If the option you want is not there it will be because it needs to be set up in the Acuite Management Portal which your company Acuite admin can do for you.

b.  Taking and marking up photos

Most fields in the form will include a Choose (Blue) or Capture (Red) icon that will appear when you select an answer. These will allow you to add photos to the question or form field. Simply touch the Choose button to choose a photo already on your phone or the Red capture to take it from your phone then and there.

c.  Saving & coming back to it later

If you start filling out a form and you get a phone call or unexpectedly close the app simply open the app again when you’re ready and you can continue filling it out.

If you just want to save your form and finish it off later simply hit the back button on your phone and you will get the options below.

If you select Save and Exit when you open up the app later on you will see a number next to the form. This will be the number of partially completed forms you have started. Simply tap the icon, select View Saved and then select the form you want to carry on with as per below;

d.  Uploading to Acuite

Once you have finished a form and you want to upload it to Acuite all you need to do is push the forward arrow at the top right of the screen. You will then be asked if you want to upload the form to Acuite. Tap yes.

Viewing & editing the checklist in Acuite

The following outlines what happens once a form has been completed in the app and automatically uploaded to the Acuite Management Portal.

  • If it is a QA form it will appear in the project’s Quality Dashboard.If it is a Health and Safety checklist it will appear in the project’s HSE dashboard

  • In order to view these, make sure you have selected the appropriate project and dashboard. Go to the Project dashboard and select one of the dashboards from the menu on the left.Eg:to view a QA audit, click Quality, and Audits

  • The completed forms will appear in the table at the bottom of the page;

Hint: If you are wanting to find a QA report done against a specific unit number then you can use the filter function at the top right of the dashboard

You can open and view/edit a form by clicking on the audit name in the table. Once you have opened it, it will look like this;

  • You can add additional photos and or documents to questions on the checklist by clicking on the “Add Documents or Photos” button.

  • You can also add further comments to it by clicking the “Add Details” button (a comments box will appear for you to type into),

  • If you want to you can even assign an action to a company if relevant by clicking the “Assignees & Responsible Companies”

Converting QA Reports to PDF and sending by email

Once you’re happy with the QA report and want to PDF it and then send it by email you can do this in a couple of ways;

  • Firstly, make sure you are on the correct project dashboard.

  • Then navigate to the Quality Audit Dashboard of that project (blue menu bar on the left)

  • At the bottom of the page is a table containing all of the QA checklists that have been completed & assigned to a unit on that project.

  • (Remember you can filter the dashboard by unit number if you want to just show QA by that unit number on this table)

  • Click on the PDF icon that sits on the right-hand side of the table.

The screen below will appear.

  • You will see there are various filters you can use to filter the QA report by certain things if you want to. Most of the time these are just left blank (“Filter by answer type” – if you just want to show the compliant answers click “Compliant / Yes”, “Filter by Company Responsible”) This will just show questions in the checklist that have been tagged against the certain company you choose

  • You now have two options in order to send it;

  • First of all you can click the “Share this report” box in the modal above add an email address and it will be sent directly.

  • OR:  leave the “Share this report” field blank and just hit the green Generate Report button.

A blue bar will then appear at the bottom of the dashboard as below

As soon as the report has been downloaded and is ready for you to view it will tell you and say “Click here to download report”

NOTE:

Deleting forms in Acuite:

Checklists/forms can be deleted in the Acuite Management Portal.  They will remain deleted even if the form is re-synced from the app.

Editing forms in Acuite:
Checklists/forms may be edited in Acuite (eg, comments or photos added, or answers changed).  However, if the checklist is re-sent manually from the app to Acuite, it may override the changes that you have made in Acuite.
