In Acuite you can set up a Quality Progress Matrix that can allow you to view the overall progress of the project, and see, in the one place, a visual representation of quality tasks and handover points on the project by location.

Here is a snapshot:

The colour of the cells indicate whether that task (on the left) for that location (at the top) is complete.

The light green indicates that the task for that location has been signed off.
The dark green is a handover task that has been signed off for that location.
The cells can be linked with audits.  Any audit that contains non-compliant questions (and has been linked to that task, for that location) will show as red.
White cells indicate there has been no activity on that task, for that location.

The row in red is an internal handover point.

Setting up the Progress Matrix

The Progress Matrix can be set up using audits done in Acuite, or audits that are imported via Procore or Aconex Field integrations.

Setting up Quality Locations
The project locations can be set up directly in Acuite or imported from Procore/Aconex Field.  If you are using Procore/Aconex Field for quality inspections, and these are synced with Acuite, the locations will be imported automatically.

Set up Locations in Acuite manually
Quality locations are set up in the Project Settings, Location Plan menu.  Click here for further instructions.

Next, copy these locations into the Quality Matrix setup.  Go to Project Settings > Progress Matrix > Location Settings tab.

Click on the "Add a Location List" link to get started.

Select/de-select the locations in the list that you want to add, then click Next.

You'll need to choose a name for your location list.  This is so you can filter the dashboard by separate lists later if you like.  eg:  You can add "Entire Project" if you're including all of the locations.

Next you'll need to choose which tiers you want to be included on the first and second lines of the matrix.  eg:

Note:  if you don't select the tiers to be added, when you go to the dashboard it will be blank.

You'll see the "Entire Project" list has been created, with 8 locations.

Setting up the Tasks and Categories:

Next you'll set up the quality tasks and categories that will appear on the left hand side of the matrix.

  • Note:  You can link tasks within the progress matrix to checklists or questions within Procore or Aconex Field.  See this article for details.

The task list can have Categories, Sub-Categories, and Tasks. Tasks can either be standard tasks, hold-points, or handover tasks.

Go to the Tasks & Categories tab and click Add Category.

Start by adding some categories:

You can then use the icons on the right of the categories to add your tasks:
(Use the icon on the right to add a task, use the one of the left to add a sub-category).

Finish setting up all of the categories, sub-categories and tasks.

Set Up the Tasks in the Progress Matrix

Go to Quality > Progress Matrix

To add the tasks into the matrix, click on the link.  This will populate the tasks you've just adding into the project settings menu.

The matrix should be populated:

You can change the display of the locations by clicking the Display dropdown box above the matrix.

Now that the Progress Matrix has been set up, the next step is to start completing tasks.

Next Step:   Progress Matrix - Task Signoff
